You’re not your best self when you’re hungry, we can only hope.

Leeds OPP reports that a 32-year-old woman called 911 from an Elgin pizza parlour Monday night when her order wasn’t ready.

The “hangry” woman was waiting with her son in her car to “explain her dissatisfaction with the restaurant” after calling police to the village about 100 km southwest of Ottawa at about 9 p.m.

Officers arrived and “educated her on the proper use of the 911 system.”

“For a life-threatening situation or imminent danger or crime that’s in progress, that’s when you call 911,” Leeds County OPP Staff Sgt. Josh Kingsley explained patiently in a news release.
