The City of Ottawa wants your input on the projects, policies, programs and services that affect your daily life. From open houses to workshops and online consultations, your feedback helps to shape City decisions.

The following opportunities to learn more about City projects are available next week:

Monday, June 18

Information session: Heatherington Complete Street
3 to 6:30 pm
Albion-Heatherington Recreation Center, 1560 Heatherington Road
Ward 10 – Gloucester Southgate

  • City staff invite residents to find out more about the complete street study and to share their ideas and opinions on the proposed options for the future of Heatherington Road. At the session, city staff will have information available to answer residents’ questions on the options for the street.

Tuesday, June 19

Open house: Florence Street and McLeod Street road, sewer and water main reconstruction
6 to 8 pm
McNabb Community Centre, 180 Percy Street
Ward 14 - Somerset

  • Preliminary design drawings for the proposed roadway, sewer and water main reconstruction on Florence Street and McLeod Street will be on display and staff will be present to provide information and receive comments.

Statutory public meeting: Plan of subdivision for part of 3285 Borrisokane Road
6:30 to 7:30 pm

Statutory public meeting: Plan of subdivision for 2159 Mer-bleue Road

Wednesday, June 20

Open house: Amiens Street Area Traffic Management Study

  • The City of Ottawa has initiated the Amiens Street Area Traffic Management Study to examine alternative solutions to address traffic related concerns. The purpose of this open house is to solicit input from the community and other interested parties on the proposed traffic calming solutions and to gather feedback that will help the study team determine the preferred solution.

Thursday, June 21

Statutory public meeting: Plan of subdivision for 1158 Old Second Line Road
7 to 9 pm
Richcraft Recreation Complex, Minto Room, 4101 Innovation Drive
Ward 4 – Kanata North

The following ongoing online consultation is available next week:

  • Commemorative naming proposal: The City of Ottawa’s Commemorative Naming Committee is conducting public consultations to name the arena within the Manotick Community Centre, located at 5572 Doctor Leach Drive, “Mike O’Neil Arena” in recognition of his extensive community service. Comments on this proposal must be submitted by June 21.
