A Gatineau police officer has been acquitted of perjury, apparently ending a six-year journey through the courts.

Jeffrey Greetham was charged with sexual assault against a woman in 2012.

A court acquitted him the following year.

He had testified in his own defence, and in 2015 the Crown charged him with six counts of perjury.

Now the Quebec Court has acquitted him on those charges.

Greetham, 55, remains suspended on pay while the Gatineau force “re-evaluates” what to do with him.
