Your Instructions
Step 1: Print the petition
The petition must be printed on white, letter-sized paper.
Print several copies so you have extra to give to friends and family that you recruit
and train to help you gather even more signatures.
Only the people who sign the petition can fill in their names and addresses. Do not
write anything for anyone else anywhere on the petition form. Of course, you can
sign your own name too- but that’s it.
Step 2: Collect Signatures
Any resident of Ontario can sign the petition - you don’t have to be a Canadian
Citizen.
Signers can be any age (even younger than 18!), as long as they live in Ontario, and
can sign their own signature, and write their own name and address.
Every person who signs must include their name, full address, and signature.
Email is optional, but please encourage people to provide it. This is the only way
we can effectively reach people later with more information.
Signatures must be written in black or blue ink.
Writing must be legible.
Only allow people to sign in the spaces provided. If you run out, use another
petition sheet- DO NOT USE THE BACK OF THE SHEET!
Step 3: Call for Pickup of Petitions
Gather all your petitions and signatures by 10 am on Tuesday, August 7th, then
leave a message at 416-763-7233 or email
tanya@pafe.ca so that a volunteer can
pick them up.
We must have the original forms - copies and scans are NOT acceptable.
Now your part is done! We will arrange to present the paper petitions to various MPP offices on
Wednesday August 8th and Thursday August 9th.
Thank you!
Frequently Asked Questions
1 Do you have a script I could use to explain this petition?
Explain to people that we need everyone’s help to ensure that the children of Ontario are protected. We are collecting signatures to encourage the new government to stick to their promise to repeal and replace the age-inappropriate, radical sex-ed curriculum developed by Kathleen Wynne. Parents are especially upset that children are being taught in school that there are 6 genders. This petition will be presented in the Legislature to remind the MPPs to keep their promise to Ontario parents.
2 What are some effective ways to find people to sign this petition?
At your place of worship. Your neighbours, family, and friends. Ask people at places you normally go to, like at soccer practice, or coffee shops. If you have a friend with a family, be sure everyone in the household signs - as long as they live in Ontario.
3 May I send the signed petition forms to PAFE by email or fax?
NO. We can only accept the forms that have original signatures (black or blue ink). Please call us at 416-763-7233 to arrange for pickup, or email
tanya@pafe.ca.
4 Who can sign the petition form for it to be valid?
Anyone who lives in Ontario can sign the form. You do not need to be a Canadian Citizen. Even children can sign the form, as long as they can fill in their own name, address, and their own signature.
5 How many signatures would PAFE like to present to the Ontario Legislature?
As many as possible. So please do your best to collect signatures.
6 Will the petition be sent to all MPPs?
The petitions will be divided up by several MPPs, and be given to most of them in an order determined by PAFE.
7 Do the people who sign the petition have to live in that MPP’s riding?
People who sign the petition can live in any riding in Ontario. On one petition you can have several different people from several different ridings. It doesn’t matter. As long as everyone lives in Ontario.
8 Should I still try collecting more names after August 7th? Could PAFE submit more petition forms after the August 7th deadline?
Definitely. But we need as many petitions as possible filled in by
Tuesday August 7th. So please do the best you can by this date.
