I am a parliamentary interpreter, and I have the ambition of speaking three languages (Italian, French and English)as a native - having been lucky enough to speak them since I was a baby .
I have always known the difference between "classic" and "classical" as well as between "historic" and "historical". Now, all of a sudden (well, it has been some time, now), I don't seem to remember such difference (I am over 60, it must be age!), perhaps because NOBODY seems to care about it and everybody uses either adjective indifferently. It is impossible to find an explanation in any dictionary or grammar. Can you help me, please?
