Upcoming events and projects will have the following impacts on Ottawa traffic:

  • Elgin Street: Hydro Ottawa work along Elgin Street will begin a new phase on Thursday, October 18, between Gilmour Street and Somerset Street. On-street parking on both sides of Elgin Street is not permitted within these blocks and should be completed in early November. Visit ottawa.ca/elginstreet to stay up to date on Elgin Street traffic impacts.
  • Carling Avenue: From Monday, October 22 to Friday, October 26, Carling Avenue will be reduced to one lane between Bayshore Drive and Holly Acres Road due to construction. The intermittent lane reduction will be between 7 am and 6 pm.
  • Merivale Road: Until Monday, November 5, Merivale Road will remain closed between Island Park Drive and Carling Avenue, for construction.
