isnt it a beginner course?
how can a person who does not know any french understand what the prof says?
any one used to be in that course?
could u tell me something about the class size and study load?
hehe, this is their teachign style, most of the time, the Prof will speak French, and explains in French, unless people don't get him at all, he will speak English. fls 1510 is pretty easy, they teach you sentence by sentence; how to pronounce words. But the workload is heavy if u have a lot of hw from other course; pretty much hw everyweek, not including assignments and exams. u will be in a class of 25 or so, everyone will have chance to speak during the class. don;t expect after you took this course, u can speak French very fluently, this won't happen. but after this course, u will be able to pick up some French words in French coversations. Strongly suggest you to take french course, at least till fls1512. after fls1512, u are in like intermediate level. so when you apply for immigration, your french mark will count. Good Luck
Yeah, anybody can learn French course in OU.Of course those who know nothing about French have to learn very the very beginning. FSL1510 is the beginning course.
no, french is not offered during summer. I am pretty sure French can count as your elective. Usually languages courses are available to everybody as electives, that's why i took French and now taking Spanish. i find spanish is not hard either
