Traffic impacts in Ottawa for the coming days – beginning Thursday, November 29

Upcoming events and projects will have the following impacts on Ottawa traffic:

  • Elgin Street: Hydro Ottawa work continues along the east side of Elgin Street between Waverley Street and Lisgar Street. On-street parking on both sides of Elgin Street is prohibited within these blocks. This phase of Hydro Ottawa’s work to bury overhead hydro lines should be completed late this fall. Visit ottawa.ca/elginstreet to stay up to date on project-related traffic impacts

Events

  • Stittsville Parade of Lights: On Saturday, December 1, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm, the following streets will be closed for the Stittsville Parade of Lights:
    • Stittsville Main Street between 1224 Stittsville Main Street and Carleton Cathcart Street
    • Abbott Street East between Stittsville Main Street and Carberry Drive
  • Constance Bay Santa Claus Parade: On Saturday, December 1, from 10 am to noon, the following streets will be closed for the Constance Bay Santa Claus Parade:
    • Constance Bay Road between Woods Road and Bayview Drive.
    • Bayview Drive between Constance Bay Road and Len Purcell Drive.
    • Len Purcell Drive between Bayview Drive and 262 Len Purcell Drive.
  • Manotick Santa Claus Parade: On Saturday, December 1, from noon to 3 pm, the following streets will be closed for the Manotick Santa Claus Parade:
    • Doctor Leach Drive between 5572 Doctor Leach Drive and Beaverwood Road
    • Beaverwood Road between Doctor Leach Drive and Scharfield Road
    • Scharfield Road between Beaverwood Road and Maple Avenue
    • Maple Avenue between Scharfield Road and Manotick Main Street
    • Manotick Main Street between Maple Avenue and Eastman Avenue
    • Eastman Avenue between Manotick Main Street and Potter Drive
    • Potter Drive between Eastman Avenue and Doctor Leach Drive
