The inauguration ceremony for Ottawa’s new City Council will take place on Monday, December 3 at the Shaw Centre. Mayor Watson and each Councillor will make a Declaration of Office and sign an Oath of Office as part of the swearing-in ceremony. Mayor Watson will deliver his inaugural address following the introduction of the new Council.

Time: 7 to 9 pm
Location: Shaw Centre, 55 Colonel By Drive
Room: Canada Hall 3, Level 3
A photo opportunity for a group shot of the new Council will take place prior to the event at 6:40 pm in Room 212 at the Shaw Centre.
The inaugural ceremony is not open to the public and is by invitation only.
