如果没计划把孩子培养成专业乐手和演奏家，可以等孩子12岁上初一时，选一门音乐课，比如Musical Instrument 中的 flute。学习4-5年足够了。我小孩现在10年级，从初一开始四年时间，边玩边学，现在已经能够比较准确地熟练地吹奏像《Entr'acte》,《Danse Boheme》这种知名长笛曲子了。
当然，如果你有志将孩子培养成帕胡德Emmanuel Pahud那样的长笛大师，又当另说。
