The officials did not say how long the delay might last, but one said it might last 10 days, the report added.
Pentagon officials could not immediately be reached for comment.

Blinken hopes China will not 'manufacture a crisis'
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said he hopes China "will not manufacture a crisis or seek a pretext to increase its aggressive military activity".He added: "We countries around the world believe that escalation serves no one and could have unintended consequences that serve no one’s interests."
US law requires the government to treat threats to Taiwan, including blockades, as matters of "grave concern."
看来美国现在的行政团队确实是放低身段，避免冲突。
不管从哪个方面说，中国没有骚扰老太太，美国放低身段，都值得尊重，战争对所有人都没有好处，除了俄罗斯。
