i assume you are graduate student, there are not many busuries for graduate, more for undergrads, adn it also depend on what faculty you are in, some has more money then others.

No, applying student loan is not wrong. However you keep complaining that the loan is not enough, but you don't want to work because that'll probably diminish your loan amount. So either quit complaining or start working to earn that extra money. We have all been there and have done that, so just make up your mind.
