Several popular Halton Region beaches on Lake Ontario are currently unsafe for swimming due to high E. coli levels. Specifically, Burlington's Beachway Park and Brant Street Beach, and Oakville's Bronte Beach Park, Coronation Park East, Coronation Park West, Lakeside Park Beach, and South Shell Park Beach have been deemed unsafe. Toronto Public Health also advised caution at Centre Island Beach due to elevated E. coli counts
