据法新社消息，加拿大警方24日透露说，加拿大首都渥太华一名大学生在庆祝自己20岁生日的时候，与同学比赛吐唾沫大赛，一不小心从11楼摔下，当时气绝身亡。

身亡者是来自渥太华-卡莱顿大学的一名在校学生，事发之前，这名过生日的大学生和同学一起喝了不少酒。在参加吐唾沫大赛时，这名大学生来到11楼的阳台上，做了一个越跑式的“助吐”姿势，准备展示自己的吐功，但由于用力过猛，这名学生一下子跃过了阳台护栏，坠下11楼，当即身亡。

当地警方表示，这名大学生的死是一起“悲剧性的事故”。

He is dead.

here is some info about him. On the evening of January 21st, while celebrating his birthday, Ameer
Jinah passed away after falling from an 11th-storey balcony. He had
just turned 21.

Ameer, more commonly known as AJ, came to Carleton from Belleville,
Ontario, to study Software Engineering in 2002. After participating in
EngFrosh 2k2, Ameer was elected 1st Year Representative on the Carleton
Student Engineering Society. His crowning achievement while holding the
position was the very successful "Party like a Frosh" event. Although
he switched out of Engineering and into Commerce the following year, he
still came back to EngFrosh 2003 as a Facil for FlashFlood.

AJ was also heavily involved with the Carleton (Eta Rho) chapter of the
Sigma Pi fraternity, which he pledged during his first year. He was
most recently one of the people in charge of Finance, as well as an
organizer for a large charity event.
