今天收到政府的信，说9开头的SIN卡要过期，需要去换。以前听好多朋友说到此事，但没有证明，今天才相信这是真的了。给大家提个醒，早做准备。

"If your Social Insurance Number(SIN) begins with a nine (9) and your SIN card does not have an expiry date printed on it, it is only valid until April 3, 2004.

You can get a new SIN card through your local Human Resource Centre of Canada (HRCC) by filling out an application form and providing proof of identity and proof of need (such as a CIC Work Permit)using original and unexpired documents. You can also apply by mail."
