There is a re-election this week due to irregularities in last month's SFUO voting process. This re-election is costing OU students $23000. At this price, y'all better go vote.

I voted for Laliberte because he's software engineering, so he's gonna watch out for the engineers, and Jocelyn Turner cuz she helped me on my wheelchair on accessibility day

学校把学生的血汗钱就当玩一样，还是富啊。

我不清楚新的SFOU可以给国际学生尤其是中国学生多少关注，反正上一届是稀里糊涂，没见给国际学生办多少实事。选举要是有中国人参加，说不定支持一把。全是老外就没意思了...

和Laliberte兄有课，每天抬头不见低头见的，不过最近很少见 那个Jocelyn Turner 除了能刺激偶的眼睛以外，没啥印象。俺们同学说哪天要是那种美女能在工程系多几个，俺们就算熬出头了。

俺感觉Laliberte胜算比较高，他在SEG，ELG和CEG都有死党的说。

SFUO is the representative of undergraduate students in Universtiy of Ottawa. Every year millions of money go to SFUO, and the money comes from your tuition fee. It is their responsibility to say your rights and improve your life quality in university. So, don't miss the chance to involve in campus activities. The deep you involve, the more you can get. The benefit could go direcly to you, it also could go indirectly to all Chinese students.

I vote for Jocelny. I like the way she talked with me, I like the way she stampled her posters, and I like her positive attitude to work for her future.

The number of voting sudents is counted evey year by SFUO. I am sure if there are more Chinese students' names on the name book, the more SFUO will put for us.

Re-vote was called by one cadidate (who shall remain unnamed ) because during the voting period, the infoweb server, which allows people to vote online, was dead for about 2 days. This, she argues, caused a lot of voters to be unable to cast their ballot, which is why they are calling the revote.

As for its impact on international students, or you specifically, I'm not sure. If you want some policies to change regarding the way int'l students are treated, you have to be willing to make a lot of effort and noise. Probabably start with VISA (a student organization for int'l students). Once you have some recognition as student leader, you can lobby the SFUO to change policies, by proposing referendums, lobbying, demonstrations, etc.

You don't have to care about what's going on in the school, or in the world. You can live a perfectly happy life watching your tv, playing your game, sitting on your ass, complaining about other people not giving you what you want.
