关于在Kanata建立中国商城

渐渐真是很有想法的人，但是光有想法是不行的，关键还是要“开始做”。
我来自美国德州，我认为Kanata3000人口的中国客源量已经足够开一个中国超市了，何况还有将来更多的中国人正源源不断地从中国大陆还有美国向这里涌来。168和九龙的水平还停留在仅仅停留在满足“食品货源”的层次，实话说，档次还很有待提高。Montreal中国城就要做得好很多，美国德州的中国城更象一个小型Mall，除了干净舒适的购物环境外，里面还隔有大小好几家中国餐馆或精品店，这样大家都不用出商场就可以饮茶或者在商场内就餐。新开的店环境好，货物齐全，服务周到，交通便利，提供冷热空调，客源不是问题。别忘了，这毕竟是加拿大，除了中国人外，还有更多的加拿大人会被好的购物环境吸引过来。正如渐渐说的，Kanata的工资水平都不低，消费观念自然不止于温饱，有一定档次又适合大众消费能力是我们的目标，所以我真希望能在这方面找到朋友好好商讨。

Do you know how badly most Canadian stores are doing in kanata? Income is high-true. But house is bigger, so payment is big. People in Kanata liking staying home or outdoor, not shopping. The Consentration is Still Very Low in Kanata. If you want to open, open it next to Walmart -- A lot of traffics. No Chinese food or store.

但我看来...目前情况下...基本上能满足渥京华人低层次的需要...所以,目前为止...处于一种平衡状态...

few years ago, i know some one already try to build a chinese shopping mall (include all the entertainment), they did pretty good market study and survey, didn't work out.

If a 2nd rated Rideau Restaurant can be successful in Kanata, then maybe a Chinese grocery store isn't too much of a risk.

"few years ago", how many years ago exactly? I don't know about Kanata. But I know if there's more and more people living in this area, your products category satisfy the market and shopping environment is the best out of all competitors, you will be able to survive in this business. Unless, of course, if something that's unpredictable happened, like Bush will continue to be the next president of United States and the war spread all over the world.
Also, if shopping is very convenient in this area, your houses' price will going up for sure. Chinese Supermarket and restaurants are so necessary for a housing area especially when lots of chinese professionals live around.

Far from everywhere that's second
Most Asian stay near CU/OU, who wants to go Kanata that's third

By the way, many people are planing to leave Kanata. Since Nortel and many firms are downsizing, more and more people are getting their canadian passport and trying to find a better job/life in the south.
