2 arrests in Cecilia Zhang case: report

BRAMPTON, ONT. - Two people have been arrested in the murder of nine-year-old Cecilia Zhang, who disappeared last October from her parents home in Toronto.

Peel Regional Police Chief Noel Catney told some Toronto media on Thursday morning that two people were under arrest. They were not members of the girl's family, he said.

The force has called a news conference for 1 p.m. ET Thursday to release details of what it is calling a "major development."

For months after she vanished, intense ground searches, police bulletins across Canada and the United States and the offer of a substantial reward failed to turn up any sign of Cecilia.

Police speculated that she had been kidnapped for financial gain, but her parents never received a ransom demand for their only child.

A hiker found her remains in Mississauga on March 27.

I hope not so , either...If this time, again, are Chinese crime, I swear, I will be super ashamed, to be Chinese.

but I heard from Radio this morning, that, one of the arrested is on early 20's, on Student Visa!

So... !!?? I am so hoping it's not a Chinese.

This is good news. I hope the person/people who were responsible for Cecilia's death will face justices!

But, why should we be ashame as Chinese even if indeed the people arrested are Chinese? We are responsible only for our own actions, not others. We Chinese are not immune from committing any of those brutal crimes than any other races.

Here is why...too much bad news about chinese here...negative Mainstream media exposure everywhere, daily , weekly...in a way, it's a fragile topic. but every chinese overseas have to face it.


I didn't choose to be ashamed of it...I want to be proud of being Chinese...and now what?

想起一件事...事发不久,在没有找到小孩的尸体前,我当时去toronto,回程的时候顺路带了一个小留学生.他当时的说法是小孩的父亲是办留学中介的,所以好多小留学生觉得他赚了他们的钱,很恨他.(很不理解,又没有人逼他们办.有本事自己考出来呀)当时觉得非常奇怪他有这种想法,因为普遍的反映是对凶手的憎恨....

现在看了这个新闻,有这种预感...

但愿垃圾们还是少出来,就是批了留学的外衣,垃圾还是垃圾.见过几个这样的货色,有男有女.基本和国内的混混没什么两样,出来丢人现眼.

Details of the sensational murder case that will be revealed at a news conference this afternoon at Peel Police headquarters. But sources say one of those taken into custody yesterday was a woman who had been a student living in the Zhang house.

Police sources said at least two people had been taken into custody and charged with the young girl’s murder. Investigators with the special Cecilia Task Force refused to confirm whether at least one of those arrested was a visa student who had been living in the Zhang household or if the other person was connected in any way to the family.

这两年小留学生出事太多了，而且出手都特狠，所以我现在基本避免和小留学生打交道，你开车带人，其实也很危险，一句话不对，很可能就完了。

当然，大多数小留学生还是好的，但小留学生里坏蛋的比例比其它海外中国人群高得多。

看到张东悦案就想起前年温哥华李昂杀害赵薇案子，虽然案情已经明了，可是当初RCMP愚蠢地早早放李昂回国，中间又有中加政治纠纷，导致现在仍然逍遥法外。李昂堂弟协助运尸体，本已经招供，却因为警方涉嫌诱供一切不算。赵薇，好可怜！
