RAID memory sounds good - provided u keep it powered up

When you put 128 CF cards in a RAID, the bottleneck would be the data bus.

Someone even made a floppy disks RAID.
 
but why would u use CF? I mean what's the point?
with every use CF's total capacity decreases
so what it means is that by the everyday operation of your PC (with the rate at which u see ur HD click everyday)
after a while ur total HD capacity = 0
?? what's the point

Don't you want the highest price for something?

CF card won't lose the capacity untill you write it a quarter million times or so on the same spot.

That's why I will use a non-CF disk for those files have to be frequently rewritten.

说得轻巧,给你10台机器,你给我个方案把它们用光纤连起来工作呀。
光说是没用,你去做做看,就知道有多难了。
高端的配件,很多都不针对零售市场开放,即使你有money,也很可能是处在有钱没处花的状态。再者,你diy的机器不可能有能和ibm这种整合sever的稳定性,首先你就不具备他们的条件去测试你的机器。

diy对于普通消费者来说是个不错的选择,但仅仅是对于普通消费者。
