精华 关于中文教育[讨论]

随着新移民越来越多地到来，子女的中文教育问题摆上了桌面。看过最近《环球邮报》特别版的朋友恐怕会为中文的崛起而欣喜。

就本埠而言，历史最长、规模最大的中文学校是位于Adult High School的渥太华中文学校--有自己编写的教材，每年有教师进修，有各种中国文化课程比如舞蹈、绘画、成人会话等。不过渥太华中文学校到目前为止只教繁体字。面对大陆新移民越来越多这个现实，渥太华中文学校正在做多方调研、听取多方意见。本着对教学质量的珍视以及为学生负责的态度，渥太华中文学校是非常慎重的，决不会将几个年级的孩子合成一个班上课。

渥太华中文学校的政策是：只要有足够的学生，就开设简体字班级。前提是保证质量。

我在这里想问一下广大家长：简体字和繁体字你更喜欢哪一个？你会为了高质量的教学不怕麻烦吗？

繁体字 with Pinyin.

There was a post by Linghu Feixue a while ago, I agree with most of her opinions regarding why traditional Chinese is superior to simplified Chinese in many ways. Many simplified Chinese characters have compromised the true meaning of the character in exchange for its simplicity. For example, 面条 and 面子 are using the same 面, but their meaning and usage are totally different. ? ? in traditional Chinese on the other hand, shows the true meaning of the word.

Pinyin romanization system on the other hand is far more superior than Taiwan's traditional bo po mo fo, due to its integration with Roman alphabet. Taiwan's recent Tongyong romanization system seems more political than anything else.

对大人来讲繁体字认没有问题，写困难。另外，对竖排版的书不感冒看起来很累！
对于小孩们来讲能让他们认简化字和拼音就不错了，能认两三千中文就是巨大的成就。
渥京中文学校如果能开设简体字班级相信会有很大生源的。

agree! 我会让孩子学简体。学语言的目的就是为了交流，繁体可能更能体现中华文化的博大精深，但简体更为实用，也更好学一些。

Language is at the heart of a culture. Perhaps spoken language is aimed at improving communication, however the goal of learning a language should be much more than just conversation, and traditional Chinese is a better carrier of our culture.

学了简体后再学繁体也比较容易;对孩子比较容易接受

台湾拼音，和简体拼音区别很大。

认同渐渐的观点. 繁体字才是正统汉字. 我还主张拼音也用汉语音标符号(废弃了真可惜),日语片假名估计就是我们汉语音标符号的翻版.
