排球队消息（请求置顶）

I send mail to intramural office this morning, here it is: (Fight is beginning.....)

Dear intramurals office students:

This mail is from a Carleton student who is kind of disappointed
and have something have to tell you guys. I am wondering, is this game
just for specific group or for all Carleton students?

Our vball team member went to apply on Jan 5th., the very first day
you opened on winter term and you guys said to come back on 12th since
you won't take any apply until then. We went to your office 12th 13:00,
and waited in the applying line. After 20 minutes waiting we got the
chance and I am quite sure we were the first one applied for vball cos
I didn't hear anyone applied for it. But, what we got is the list if
FULL! I was so confused, if the first person applied for it could not
get in, then just wondering, what was excatly going on there? Could any
of you guys give us an explaination??? If you told us"OK, the list is
full and why this is it....."in advance, fine, we would not even bother
it! But, you didn't say anything and let us put so much effort on it
and finally we were kicked out for no reason! Is this a game too,
playing with people?

Sorry for the manner, I just could not help. There is something you
have to keep in mind, we are the same students as you are. If you were
played like this, what will you think?

Got an answer from them:

In response to your email, I understand your frustration however I am
certain if we told you the league was full then it was at that point.
Registration opened on the 12th at 12pmand it is very possible that
enough teams were there before you to register to fill up the league. We did
not let any other team register before the 12th. We work on a first come
first serve basis. We would let everyone play if we could but because of
limited gym time we have to restrict the leage to a certain number of teams.

So, maybe we heard it wrong. Looks like the one hour late made the big difference......Don't worry, I will keep push in the future. BTW, I contact with Old Guns already, probably we will have a practice this weekend. Be prepared.

OK, if that's the case. Maybe we heard it wrong, but what we heard on
Jan. 5th from you guys was you will take it on Jan. 12th from
13:00-17:00......Looks like the one hour made a big difference.

Thank you for your correction. Finally there is somebody proved that we didn't make up something from our own imagination. I hate to push anybody or give somebody a hard time. But, I don't want to be pushed either.

I fully understand that the intramural office has its own difficluty and they are also students. We don't expect they work as professional-Olympic-game-orgnizer or something like that. But everything has a bottom line. I still remember last time what a mass up of the final co-ed vball game we went through. I don't want to write the whole story here, but if you want I can tell you maybe some time. This time we followed the rule and gave our completly trust to somebody ,dare not make even a tiny mistake but turned out still get nothing! First come first serve, we paid so much attention on it because we know what it means!

I am here not only on be half of myself, but also my team. And I am doing this because it's not the first time we encountered this kind of thing. Here I don't want to make any assumption or blame somebody, but if you can make a stop to some wacky things going on there, we will be much aapreciated.

Looks like it is becoming another resultless complain. But I am sure I gave them enough headache already, which I didn't mean to at the very beginning at all.

Well, I will try to run our practice in a regular bias and hopefully, it will start from next week.
