In US, people earn more money and pay less tax but doesn't mean they have better life. They have more pressure and less benifit. I know a lady who works in Voice of America(government job), when she gave birth to her baby, she didn't have parental leave. She had to use her sick leave to have a rest and take care of her baby for a while and went back to work after one or two months when she ran out of her sick leaves. But if she worked in Canadian government, she would have one year leave with 93% of her salary. She paid USD200,000 to buy a bachelor(not sure when she bought it) in DC but could have bought a single house here. Every time she visits her doctor, she has to pay USD15 and her insurance covers the rest.....I guess it's difficult to sponsor parents to go to US as PRs...

而加拿大的移民,则显得要浮躁些。因为他们当中很多人还有美国梦。他们觉得凭着在加拿大的工作经验,完全有能力在美国得到更好的发展。加拿大的冬天让他们不愿意在那里扎根,他们的目标是美国。
