[问题] hub, switch 和router

问一个比较白痴的问题，hub, swith 和 router有什么区别呢？我有两台电脑，一个是台式，一个手提，然后用高速，知道用这三样东西都能连接起来，但是哪个更好，更经济一点呢？

hub is first two layer(TCP/IP) device
switch and router , same thing , in most of cases

you need IP@ for each computer if you are using hub, but I do not think Rogers likes that, lol

router can put these computers into a subnet and assign subnet IP@, with IP mask, router itself have the public IP@ which is assigned by Rogers(ISP)

hub is limited speed -> 100mb hub means all ports share this speed
switch is non-limited -> each port to another port is 100mb
router is a hub + dhcp

最近也在想要买SWITCH 还是 ROUTER

那个DHCP是什么意思?

ROUTER的话 是大家SHARE 100MB 还是EACH PORT TO ANOTHER PORT IS 100MB?
