For new condo,near UQO,around 1000ft, will be $120K to $170K.
Mostly, in the PLateau and Trempley area.
But My suggestion is: you may choose a condo which construct year is between 1982 -1992, which is within 20 years, its condition should be fine, close to bus line,the price is much cheaper: $90k to $110k.

１．我是要在大学读研究生，收入较低，在魁省是否可申请MORTAGAGE？
Yes ! you can apply for a mortgage, because you will be the new immigrant,so you can use the "welcome to Canada" plan, which ask you pay 35% as you downpament of your total price for your house.
2。魁省主要购房税收有几种？
for the whole process of buying a property in QC,you will pay:
a.Property price
b.Notary fee: around $1200 -$1600 depends on which notary you use.
c.INspection fee: about $300
d.Land tranfer Tax - in QC, we call it "Welcome Tax", for a condo
around $1000
for above item a,b,c you have to pay it when you sign all the final contract with the seller in the closing date.
for d, you need to pay it within 1-3 months, after you received the documents from the municipal authority- the city hall.
