I am posting for my friend:
---------------------------------
As per the Guide (Extend your stay in Canada - Visitor):
"If you wish to stay in Canada after your status has expired you may apply for restoration of status within 90 days of your offence."
My question is:
If a person's visiting visa has been expired after receiving the letter of refusal to extend visa (the letter was late), and he already bought the air ticket and will leave Canada soon (1-2 months), but not longer than 90 days, does he still need to apply for restoration of status?
Has anyboy applied for restoration of status? If not, the period between receiving the letter and leaving would be an illegally stay, right? Does it have any bad effect on the future visa application?
Many thanks for your response!!!
