请问在ottawa看医生的医疗费报销问题

我是CU的学生，今天看到学校的通知，说自8月份起，持魁省医疗卡的学生在学校诊所看病必须先自费，然后再到魁省报销，不知这个手续是怎样的，有没有人办过，如果很复杂又很慢的话，看来今后只好在Hull这边看病了！不只是语言的问题还是医生态度的问题，我在MAXI后面那家诊所看过两次病，每次医生都是十分钟就把我打发了！有人在那家诊所碰到过好点的医生吗，能否告知其姓名？谢谢啦！

Subject: Changes affecting Quebec Health Care patients


Effective August 1, 2005 essential upgrades to department IT systems will, unfortunately, prohibit direct billing to the Quebec Ministry of Health. As a result, patients with Quebec health care will be required to pay for services.
This is already a common practice in the Ottawa region by many physicians and specialists. Health and Counselling Services will provide you with the necessary documentation for reimbursement from the Quebec Ministry of Health.

It's a big hassle!!

Good luck! It's a big hassle to get reimbursement back from the Quebec Ministry of Health (RAMQ). I saw a doctor in Toronto because I was sick there and of course, they didn't accept the Quebec health card. I had no choice but to pay them first and get reimbursement back from Quebec. It has been a month now and I am still waiting. So, don't see a doctor in another province unless you have absolutely no choice.

Forgot to mention

I forgot to mention that you won't get full reimbursement back from Quebec because doctors in Quebec get lower salary. That's why many doctors in Ontario don't accept the Quebec health card. You will have to pay the difference. I don't know how much you will actually get back from the reimbursement as I am still waiting. I can let you know when I heard back from them.

got my reimbursement

I finally got my reimbursement back, a month after I submitted my reimbursement form and supporting documents. They almost gave me back the full reimbursement, just $2.50 less. So, not that bad.
