I bought a bicycle from a guy who lived in 180 Lees Ave. I paid for 55 dollars a defected bicycle.

Today, I called him that I would like to return the bicycle to him. He refused and told me the trade had finished, no refunded.

I found that the bicycle’s front brake did not work when I rode the bicycle first time. He told me that he knew that. He told me that he did not have any tools and no time to repair the bicycle. He told me that it was easy to repair. I checked it and I also thought it would be repaired easily. After I brought the bicycle home and I tried to repair the bicycle. It was not possible to fix the bicycle. It was defected.

I suppose that he knew that the bicycle could not repair, he just set trick, post 60 dollars for a bicycle. More nonsense, he said that that was my mistake. He said that one guy wanted to buy the bicycle before I did, and the buyer did not buy it because it could not be fixed. I asked that why he sold that bad bicycle and posted 60 dollars and imposed that the bicycle was good. He spoke rudely that he could sold for 1000, 2000, any amount he wanted. He said that I bought based on my wrong judgment. Other buyer did not buy, why I did.

What a bad guy I encountered !

Don't be angry with it. Just think that you are giving money to a begger. The guy is not worth your feeling.

I met a similar thing when I bought a computer for my friend. I paid over hundred bucks for a bad motherboard. I took 4 days on the corrupted box and tried to fix it. The feeling is so bad. The lesson for me is that I will never buy any stuffs with some defects I found. Since no one know what happened on the 2nd hand stuff in the future. So we have to learn how to protect yourself.

BTW, you can post the bad guy's registered name or real name(if you know). Then everyone know his bad credit and no one will trust him.

Put it away and try to enjoy the beautiful sunny day.

二手市场是有黑名单的,可以建议公布此人信息,以后大家就小心了。

When you buy a bike, there are three important things to check. First, check if the brakes work properly; second, check if the wheels wobble; third, check if the rims are bent somewhere. Although there are many other things to check, these three are must for safety reason.

Anyway, I know how to repair a bike pretty well. If you want I can fix the problem for you. Not free but with a reasonable charge depending on how serious the problem is.

My different opinion: most used items are sold like AS-IS. It will bother too much for an owner to grant a warranty or return/refund. That's why buyer needs to make decision discreetly before making a payment. Of course, seller needs to present all facts honestly.

If anything is unclear and buyer is still willing to try, buyer may offer lower price considering potential risks. However, once the deal is made, buyer should not ask for a return/refund UNLESS seller had given false info.

For this case, since the buyer already saw the defect before the deal was made, he should already have considered the risk and also finally argeed the deal. Then later, could say nothing!!!

I know a place to repair your bike

There's a man who alaways runs a garage sale in Bayshore. He's really good at repair bikes. If it's small problems, he wouldn't charge you. If he has to put small parts on it, he would only charge you the part he put on your bike. The garage sale runs at Saturday and Sunday under a big tree beside the Catholic school. Drive around woodridge and you'll see it. Sometimes he doesn't come out and he has poor English.

Thanks everyone for comments

I don't know the guy' name and I could not find his name from CFC. His telephone number is 231-3038.

take it easy

其实可以告诉我们他的名字, 手机号什么的, 让这种人渣臭名远扬!

Bicycle

I saw a similar bicylce for sell in CFC. I supposed that the guy might buy that bicycle, then sold to me after he found that bicyle had problems.

Anyway, the guy knew that the bicycle had defects and he could not fix it without time and tools. But really his intention was to make much from his defect stuff and any one who buy his stuff would suffer the terrible experience but it would not be his problem but the buyer's problem as he said to me.

Hey, not everyone knows how to input Chinese in an IE browser. Typing english is much faster.
