How often do we have a bright moon? Holding my wine I am asking the sky,
I wish we could always be together, sharing this beautiful moon no matter where we are.
This beautiful ancient Chinese poem tells us that the full moon has always represented the gathering of friends and family in the Chinese culture. The Mid-autumn festival, which the Chinese people celebrate on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month every year, is always an occasion for family reunion and thanksgiving.
In celebration of this Festival and to launch the 2005-06 programming year for the HKCBA (Ottawa Section), we are pleased to present in association with the Nortel Ottawa Dragon Boat Race Festival and the Casino du Lac-Leamy a gala evening filled with a gourmet 10-course Chinese dinner and traditional entertainment. From Montreal, we have invited guest chef, Ken Chong, who will be creating for you a delightful Chinese meal accompanied by wine pairing suited to each course. Entertainment will include traditional Chinese music and dancing along with a food presentation by Ken Chong.
With the generous support of the Casino du Lac-Leamy, we are able to offer you this gala evening at an incredible price - $58 for HKCBA Members and $68 for non-HKCBA Members ? the approximate value of the tickets is over $120 per person!
