咨询一下关于房子出蟑螂的问题

我们家去年租的房子，从2月份起开始出现蟑螂，然后就找minto消灭，根本不见效

情况一直持续到现在，问题非但没有解决而且越来越来厉害，我们多次和他们交涉，未果，只是草草的上了几次药

我想咨询一下，从法律上讲，我可不可以所要赔偿，这是正当的么？

一般会出现什么样的情况，请大家不吝赐教
