不懂,什么是 Last time, it was close in lots of the ridings here even Liberal won out.?

Ottawa West-Nepean 41.8% v.s.39.2% (1.4K vote)
Ottawa Orlean: 45.0% v.s 40.3% (2K vote)
Ottawa South 43.9% v.s 34.7% (5K vote)

And that was Liberal had 37% v.s. 30% poll going into the 2004 voting date. And today it only has around 5% at best.

2000 there was no Conservative riding in this part of the country; all Liberals. 2004, all ridings west of Nepean in Ottawa-Carleton went to Conservatives (some with 10%+ margin). That include

Carleton - Lanark (Kanata)
Nepean-Carleton
Renfrew - Nipissing - Pembroke
Lanark - Frontenac - Lennox and Addington
Leeds-Grenville

I suspect active IDs on this forum only about few hundreds the most. But they do represent ppl will more likely to vote (because they care things in Ottawa instead of "sleepless nights")

Also, the election is still 50+ days to go. It is smart not to make up mind yet.

But you are right, we should all be more active and vote at the end!!

NDP was lucky have a X-leader (of 15+ yr) came back root for the party. I know there are even conservative-leaning voters loved him. But this luck is running out. Ed is not seeking re-election. Anyone knows who is taking over?

This was the only NDP riding in the Ottawa-Carleton area (other all in TO).

Ottawa South should get rid of liberal candidate this time, who is the brother of Ontario premier, who broke his promise and introduced Ontario health premium on everyone. Should punish them.

For Ottawa West-Nepean, liberal MP Marlene won't run this time and conservative's candidate is Ontario Tory's energy minister．Ｉam sure that this time conservative will win this one.

Guess we should remove "Can not vote yet". This option does not make sense at all for a poll like this.

我在Ottawa-Centre选区，上次是NDP候选人当选了。不过我还是会投Conservative的票，因为任何一票都很重要，要记住2000年美国大选的教训，也许你的一票就可能决定未来的总理归属，所以请按自己的意愿投票。千万不要因为自己想选的候选人在本选区可能获胜无望而放弃投票或随便投票！
