Job Description:
1. Performance and risk assessment
a. Understand overall applications from performance point of view
b. Participate in Performance Design Review (PDR) meetings and produce PDR documentations
c. Participate in technical discussion with different development teams and produce documentations accordingly using MS office and MS Visio.
2. Create and implement performance best practice
3. Create, track and fix performance defects using Test Director
4. Oracle Database Performance Analysis
a. Understand performance issues raised from development team
b. Create test case to re-produce the problem. And demonstrate the problem using MS office and MS Visio.
c. Gather performance information during performance test using various tools and native performance facilities from Oracle ? Quest Central, TOAD, snapshot/AWR report, Trace logs, Explain Plan, etc.
d. Find out the root cause of the performance issues and provide suggestions
e. Produce Performance Analysis Reports (PAR) for database issues
5. ETL performance Analysis
a. Work with development team to understand batch job dependencies
b. Work with testers to create LoadRunner scripts
c. Produce Performance Analysis Reports (PAR) for batch issues
6. Project management and team work
a. Maintain healthy relation with other groups ? developers, testers, DBA, system administrators, etc
b. Track/report accomplishments and outstanding issues
c. Discuss/create deliverables and task cards with the team lead
d. Manage expectations and priorities
