BIG problem with Rogers, need help.

A journey of 1,000 miles begins with a single step ― and so it was that law professor Susan Drummond's long, strange trip into the world of wireless security, where she learned that a terrorist organization had appropriated Ted Rogers' cellphone number, was launched by the arrival of a phone bill for $12,237.60.

Ms. Drummond, who had just returned from a month-long trip to Israel, went numb as she looked at the stupefying figure, which was more than 160 times higher than her typical monthly bill of about $75. The Rogers Wireless bill included a five-page list of calls charged to her phone, almost all of them to foreign countries that included Pakistan, Libya, Syria, India and Russia.

Ms. Drummond quickly determined what had happened: Someone had stolen her phone while she was away. She called Rogers Wireless, which told her there was nothing it could do, and she would have to pay the entire amount.

“I was shocked,” she said. “Who wouldn't be?”

There is a column called ACTION LINE under "CITY" of THE OTTAWA CITIZEN. You can call Tony Cote at 596-3737 during 9am to noon on weekdays, or write to: The Ottawa Citizen, Box 5020, Ottawa, K2C 3M4.
You can also send Fax at 726-1198 or e-mail: tcote@thecitizen.canwest.com. Just tell Tony Cote what happened and what your complain is. Good luck!
 
I just met a guy working for Rogers from another forum. And he helped me to check the bill in the system, and found in the system, the weird call is outgoing call instead of incoming call which is printed on my bill. So he told me the stratgy which is emphsis the different between wuts on my bill and wuts in the Rogers system, so then Rogers admited the mistake system made. And I got my money back. Things are pretty easy. Sometimes we just need a little more info to fight for our rights.

thx. I heard that info too. But I also heard this guy is only fighting for involved value which is more than 100 bux.
Things done is done. I don't wanna deal with rogers anymore once I finish this f*cking contract.

They are cheating you about protecting caller's privacy. Why could they show the incoming call numbers if you subscribe the call id service? They are just fooling around. Ask them to provide the proof for that call otherwise you won't pay the bill.
The caller is aware his/her number can be seen by who subscribed "caller ID" service, this is part of user agreement. But caller didn't authorize carrier to reveal his personal information to anybody else. I don't think you can get it without legal process.
Not paying is not a good idea, it may leave you a bad credit history.It will affect not only your financial service in future, some jobs, legal disputing, political life also require perfect credit history.

paid as you go is the worst. there is no detail bill on line. they can charge whatever they like. You can't see.
