'Moderate' Quake Rattles Capital Region

There are no reports of injuries or damage after a "moderate" earthquake rattled Ottawa Friday night.
Natural Resources Canada says a magnitude 4.5 earthquake rattled the Capital Region at 8:39 pm.
The quake was centred in Thurso, Quebec.
Ottawa Police and the City of Ottawa say there are no reports of damage.
Seismologist Sylvia Hayek says the west Quebec area is a fairly active earthquake zone and quakes of this size are not uncommon.
Hayek says they've occurred about once every 10 years.
The Geological Survey of Canada says Friday night's quake was the second "significant" quake in the region this month.

中新社温哥华二月二十四日电(记者 吕振亚) 当地时间星期五晚上八点三十九分，加拿大首都渥太华和魁北克省西部地区发生里氏四点五级地震，官方称没有造成人员和财产损失。
地震学家告诉媒体，这次地震“并没有强大到足够造成损害”，因为只是一次小震，这种地震每隔五年到十年就有可能发生一次。
渥太华不少居民感觉到了房屋持续近三十秒的“摇晃”。当地警察局接到了至少一百五十个问询电话，但至今没有接到人员受伤或财产损失的报告。
据悉，地震震中距渥太华市中心东北方向四十余公里，位于地下十五公里。
加拿大第二大城市蒙特利尔和多伦多所在的安大略省东部地区也有震感。
