apparently, u r not among the smart group. china has tried in the past to bring it to a world power status by the so-called elites. these elites thought they were intelligent, better-educated and original. They failed. Though there was no harm in trying by the elites, serving a country does not require people be supersmart.

Talking about elites. Everyone wants his or her kids to be elites. I went to a meeting yesterday evening. I cannot believe it is kind of like china. my son will go to middle school in August and they have 4 separate tracks for starting middle school students. Track A can take grade7/8 courses even though they are at grade 6. Track A students have a chance of going to elite universities after high school while track D students almost have no hope of going to university. the world is becoming one. i was told in china kids' future is determined at kindergarden. i really begin to worry that the world is flat and i might fall off the edge.

邓只看到了西方现有的三权分立。不知道三权分立还可能进一步发展的。我们不是上帝，只好三权分立，各负其责，互相制约，互相配合，为了一个共同的目标。

竞争是存在的，竞争是必需的，才能有进步和动力。成为精英也是这样的竞争。所以要有一种体制，来维持竞争的秩序，也保护弱者能够生存，将来的体制要比现在的好才行。

China always amazes me. China picked up communism and it was never the kind of communism in russia. china is now picking up capitalism; it will not be the kind of capitalism US has.

China's reform in health care is close to disaster. A country has to provide affordable healthcare to its poor and underpriviledged people. Canada is doing a good job at this. US is doing a shameful job while China is doing a more than shameful job.

The elites i meant are those before PRC was founded.

不断从民众中选拔精英.who will do the 选拔? actually, u do not need to. there are always people who volunteer to call themselves 精英 as there are always fools to rush in a door.

法官不治国只做裁判. almost impossible. if 法官 has no political views whatsoever, that might be plausible. when G.W. and Gore fought for presidency, they went to the judges. Guess what, some of the judges were appointed by G.W.'s father and u know what happened. then u will say 那么唯一的办法是把资格法官的提升交给民众. that means judges will be elected by votes. then judges will be inclined to their supporters as they are aligned in their political viewpoints.

picking up where we left yesterday. gradual small scale immigration is the least provocative way of securing Siberia for China or China should find a way with Russia to defend Siberia against any invaders of Siberia (Japan/US? India? Europe?). Let us see if Iran can defend itself or not and if China and Russia help Iran or not. If Iran falls, Russia becomes the next target for US. The most valuable part of Russia to US/China/Europe is Siberia. China should not hesitate to protect Siberia if Russia fails to do so. China knows its line of viability. When US crossed the 38 parallel, China fought back as it learned Korea is the gateway for invaders. China also drew a line in the Vietnam war and US took it very seriously and never crossed it.

你要知道，现在的法官是由政客们提名和任命的。我说的体制不是这样的任命程序。也就是说就是为了杜绝布什总统那种情况。

首先，法官不是任何人都能做的，他必须取得大学教育取得的法律资格，这就杜绝了外行。

其次，法官是不管理税收，外交，预算这些事情的，那么它被民众的选举影响的可能性小很多的。他是作裁判的。民众要看的是他的断案历史，是否公正和法律水准。比如中国民众就有判断谁是包大人的传统，不需要民众有极强大的知识背景。在西方也采用陪审团制度，就是普通民众。

选拔精英是可以做的，不是每个人宣布是精英就可以的，所以需要体制。

her logic is not working. the land before time, there was no politics but there were homo sapiens. homo sapiens evolve and politics follow. politics is now a profession.
