I got into Control panel and found the language setting. But there is no Chinese listed in the long list. Many other languages are there. My computer is IBM ThinkPad. Is it because that it was not made in China?

thanks for the instruction. it is crystal clear. however, my laptop does not have Chinese pre-installed. As it is not my computer, I cannot control what to be installed. Anyway, I will ask the computer support staff at the hospital to come over and have a look.

bs... are you saying you don't have admin access to your own computer??!!!!.... what do you mean it's not ur computer...select asian font in the second tab and select all chinese related languages in the advanced tab under the language selection/above the language input settings(i hope it's set up this way)... include all those taiwan, chinese simplify, chinese traditional ones...

u r right. i do not have admin access. though i can take the laptop home or anywhere as it has wireless connection, i cannot put things into it without approval from computer folks and my computer does not have preinstalled Chinese.
