OT: 各位在OU/CU读书的帮个忙

请问一下国际学生(非移民)在这里读工程/计算机的本科每年学费大概多少? 我看OU的网站 Non-exempt International Students要$16000,好象很高? 和Toronto/Montreal比较相差大吗?

另: 生活费如果省吃俭用要多少呢? 我想着$1000-1500 每月?

国内的一朋友让给问问. 谢了先!

FAD, OU读本科国际学生差不多就是这个价钱, 是移民/公民的两倍. 至于生活费用全在自己了.

Thanks, david/Leo. I saw the calendar year is from Sep to April, so they can do some co-op or whatever during the rest of the months ? And most of the engineering students can get their degree in 4 years ?

coops have 4 months and 16 months period. the wage is 2k-3k/month. that's why i said you can make the money back


no matter how long you do coop, if you can finish all credits in 4 years, you can get degree.

其实可以关注一下魁北克的大学,有的专业能便宜出一倍还多.

比较牛的话可以申请一下蒙特利尔的McGill.另外觉得出来读计算机什么的没明显优势,属于性价比不高的专业.

生活费省吃俭用5,6百也能过,高了可封不了顶(比如身为深度中毒的摄影爱好者^0^)

Checked both Concordia and Mcgill. Tuition is not much cheaper ($15000). Any other universities you have in mind ?

Also 5/600 per month sounds a little low. What's the minimum cost for sharing accomodation with others ?

living expense is a lot lower in Quebec for sure.
rental is about 200-300, transportation is about 60(my guess of monthly buss pass),
food can be different depending on person. I heard that if you cook yourself every meal,
it can be lower than 100, if not, I guess doubled or trippled is at least.
Entertainment is needed, like 50-100/month is regular.
