来了那么久~还不明白退税是怎么一回事~~

室友老叫我年初的时候去申请退税~~
这退的是什么税啊?
我还是学生可以退吗???
那退了以后会不会对以后申请移民有影响啊??(我怕把交了的税都拿回来了,政府就不让移民了~~)

It has nothing to do with the immigration application. Every person who lives in Canada more than 182 days in a year must submit a tax return form by law to Revenue Canada, to provide your detail information on tax. You fill the form and can calcuate how much tax you have to pay or how much you can get refund. Revenue Canada will verify the form and take the tax you pay or refund you money -- depends on each person's situation.

No matter how much you earned, everybody must submit the tax return form. If you fails that, you may get negative impact on you immigration application.

楼主想太多了，政府不会这么小心眼的

而且每个人都有义务报告自己的收入情况，然后依律决定是交税还是退税。
初中的时候学过，报税的一个作用是帮助政府统计。退回来是我们平时生活中交得税，然后对于我们低收入的学生，那些税是不该交得。里面还有一些补助。
