大概就是机动车必须让行人，转弯机动车必须让直行机动车。
国内开车跟这里开车不太一样，还是先学学再租车上路吧

No. You will get trobule in case you are checked by a police. Foreign driver license is valid 60 days from the date you entered Canada. You will be charged crimial for driving without license.
Not that serious even after 3 months. Try to get a translation of your chinese driving licence from any authorized translation agent. You are allowed to drive the car here in Canada with the original chinese driving licence and the translation, since you are not supposed to stay in Canada forever. The 90 days limitation is only for the international driving licence.
Oh, oh, goooood news, this seems to be the only advantage of taking our Chinese dring license in here.
Anyhow, I will be extreamly carefull, I have been driving our 30k KMs without any accident from the begining except two of them:
1. The road light was shut down on a city road, somebody crahsed me on the right side.
2. I crashed something on the road side, since the STADN-STORM stops me from seeing things clearly. The right side back-mirror was broken.

"呃彦就算行人哙?你撞到他, ?是你的邋。。"?? Where did you get the information? It doesn't make any sense. The pedestrians have right of way in most cases, but not always. Of course a car won't run over a person if the driver sees him/her and has enough time to stop or yield the person, no matter what the situation is, otherwise it would be like a murder or manslaugher. However, there are incidents that driver is completely innocent.
My understanding is that, Jay walker suddenly popped up and got hit by a car which is driving within the speed limit, and the Jay walker would get a ticket but the driver would NOT be liable, unless there is a green or yellow warning sign along the road advising motor vehicles to yield school kids or shoppers or shoplifters
On the contary, the driver has the right to sue the Jay Walker for any damage on the car caused by the collision.
In Ottawa, drive slowly and be very vigilant on BANK STREET and SOMERSET STREET. Jay Walkers there are crazily brave.
