奇怪的是加拿大主流社会，没有因为 ‘人头税是向伸手向加拿大纳税人要钱’，而反对赔钱，倒是 northernwolf 这样的爱党人士，跳出来反对?

说白了，只要有可能碰到这些爱党人士兜里的一分钱，什么同胞，什么人道，皆可抛了。

What your elected democratic canadian government did in the past is wrong, unjust and pitiful. That shows, democracy or not, any government can err.

I am not attempting to overthrow any government. I am not as ambitious/vicious as you are. The only thing is that your words are not matched by your deeds. Your words/acts here only strengthen the Chinese government as the Chinese government knows that its enemies are like contractor, ignorant, incompetent and impotent.

You are kind of twisting the facts here. The compensation money from the government is indeed from taxes paid by taxpayers. If the government decides to compensate this way or that way, taxpayers really cannot do anything about it even though this government is elected. That is your democcracy at work. I pay taxes to US government and part of that money goes to the Iraq war. Even though I and other taxpayers oppose the war, we are powerless to stop that money from flowing to war. That is my democracy at work.
