can you define what democracy is? if democracy in iraq is not democracy, no country in the world is a democracy. iraqis voted to elect a government and that government was formed based on that vote. nazi is a democracy. taiwan is democracy. do not deny a democracy when it does not function as well as expected. as I said, people from all the world, democratic or not, choose to stay in usa. that has nothing to do with democracy.

Then what's that has to do with?

You can not guarantee a great country with 'democracy'. But you can guarantee a lousy country with dictatorship.

假包换的马甲, I always and still think you are the most intelligent of your kind.

Where I choose to live depends on where I can maximally realize my personal potential. It has nothing to do with democracy. Go and check the cvs of hockey players in the Ottawa Senators. Many of them come from democratic countries and they come to Canada because they can earn much more than in their home country.

If you feel guity about leaving China, simply go back and do not bash your home country here. Admit the fact you are also here to make a better living, not for achieving your democratic dreams.

Mexico is democratic; but that does not stop its people moving across the border; Philipines is democratic; however, 10% of its GDP comes from people working abroad.

If you think canada is democratic and free for all, pass me some what you are smoking so that I can think the same way as you. Canada's immigration policy seeks out the relatively young/well educated folks or the weathy around the world to supply its labor chain. If you are poor, ill or uneducated, what chances do you have to come to Canada? In that sense, you are no different from those illegal immigrants in Canada. They just get into the country through a different door. All else remains the same. Do you think they came for democracy?

I used to live in Ontario. I was offered a job as a resident physician. I turned it down as it required me to serve in the underserviced area for a 5 to 7 years. I would rather go back to China to work as a physician than going to the cold scarce place where for miles you do not see a family.

Whether you hate China or whether I love China does not matter. All matters is that you and I and contractor all come for the same purpose: to make a better living for ourselves. If there is a stairway to heaven, I think we all will meet there as heaven is the best place and as it is in our blood to seek what is better for ourselves even though heaven is not a democracy since god is not elected.

without reading 'mein kampf', how can you talk about hitler?

hitler was elected democratically and through his fuhrer power, he chose to dominate the masses in his country and his country failed to use their constitutional power to get rid of him.that is the collective guilt of germans at that time.

democracy never cease to exist in a country unless the people in that country cede that right. if the chinese choose not to exercise their right of democracy, they live with the status quo.if you think China is like Nazi Germany, you can go back and fight the communists there and you might find some supporters there. if you commit to that noble cause, i will contribute half of salary to your fight.
