十届全国人大常委会第二十九次会议30日下午经表决决定，免去金人庆的财政部部长职务，任命谢旭人为财政部部长。

・ Effective on August 31,2007, Bush's top political strategist and deputy chief of staff, Karl Rove, quit.

・ Effective on September 17, 2007, a long-time friend of President George W Bush, Mr. Gonzales is the latest senior official to leave the White for lying.
