Not really that 疯狂. It has to be prepaid for 1 year, and a $50 deposit for the modem, and also the so called 5M is the "maximum". So far, we only got 1M, while with Sympatico, it could be 7M.

I guess you are one of the unlucky ones then, most people that I know of got fairly decent speed, no issues whatsoever, not a real concern to prepay 1 year in advance to save hundreds..

I heard rumour from other forums that Sympatico intendedly lower down this company's users' speed, and this company kinda knows about that. So, if a user's speed is low, they would ask the user to do some tests and then they will forward the test results to Sympatico. However, this seems to be lengthy complain process and might as well just stuck with the slow speed or switch back to Sympatico.
