That is why I suggest to have the builder to open one and usually they will set the switch for that, then you can run the wire from that source. Running the wire does not required licensed electrician, however, setting up a box requires a certified electrician.
The switch is charged seperately. For pot-light, the switch itself costs me around $140 as I was told by the builder there was a special tranformer in that stwitch..
When you do it later (doable for sure), normally you can only install 6" one instead of the elegant 4" one...
Ai Zai bah...cannot fight with the builder...
My builder charged me $275 (Ai Zai leh) including switch, and my contractor can install the rest for me at $35/ each.
