Candidate Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of Internet navigation, information architecture and branding principles. You are not expected to have programming skills, however familiarity with the capabilities of key Internet technologies is required (e.g., including but not limited to HTML, Perl, JavaScript, CSS, etc).
2. Knowledge of the "state of the art" Internet sites is a requirement, as is familiarity with established web design principles. Knowledge of financial services sector is an asset.
3. An advanced knowledge of PC and Internet based computing (e.g., operating systems as well as word processing, spreadsheet and project management software packages, browsers, streaming audio and video players).
4. An in-depth understanding of Internet based marketing.
5. Experience working effectively with the business objectives/constraints of clients.
6. Superior project management skills with a track record of effectively managing concurrent, high profile Internet publishing projects to successful completion.
7. Proven your ability to articulate complex information to clients, including branding, Internet standards, best practices, and industry norms.
8. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Web Content Producer is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and management of Scotiabank’s public Internet presence including Scotiabank.com and other Scotiabank Group Internet properties (i.e. ScotiaMcLeod.com, ScotiaMcLeodDirect.com, ScotiaCareers.com, etc), and any future sites launched by the Group.
Working closely with the Senior Manager, you will:
1) Assist in the development and management of publishing projects for the Bank’s public Internet sites including the designing of project plans, assisting with business case preparation and consulting with internal clients.
2) Participate in the development and refinement of standards and best practices for the Scotiabank Group’s public Internet offerings.
3) Participate in the development of the Bank’s public Internet services, including Researching and reporting on internet service trends from leaders in the channel.
4) Contribute to the development and implementation of online marketing.
5) Investigate and respond to inquiries and suggestions from customers, the Office of the President, the call centers and staff.
6) Support other strategic Internet developments and Self Service Banking channels when required.
