Ebay is dangerous.

I was cheated by Ebay seller before. Even I told Ebay I want to stop
payment, Ebay continued to pay the seller. Ebay never protect you.

The result: I spent 600 $ on a garbage computer.

我经常在ebay上买东西,没买过旧的,买的都是新的,觉得东西都很好呀,seller也很讲信用。
我觉得买东西时要read seller的feedback,看看别人对seller的评价

eBay's Special Offer: Buy A Car And Get Nothing!

One of the worst nightmares: buy a very expensive car through eBay and receive nothing. Not even your money. And this happened to approximately 1,000

Canadians in the last 7 years according to the CBC news. But, here's what happened a few days days ago. Shaqir Duraj, a Kosovo refugee who moved to Canada, has started his own bakery some time ago, making several transactions through the famous bidding website eBay. Back in October, Shaqir Duraj knew it was the time to buy himself a new car and so he searched on eBay for one. Moreover, he knew that eBay is full of scam, so he searched for a seller with high satisfaction rating. He was pretty excited when he found a very nice car, available for $20,000, published by a member with 98 percent customer satisfaction rating, as CBC News informs.

He won the bid so he sent the money to the seller. After six weeks, Shaqir Duraj could still be spotted in the bus station, as he didn't receive the car bought on eBay. That's why he contacted the eBay officials, but what happened next was quite unexpected. "The company wrote him a letter saying someone had temporarily taken over, or hijacked, the seller's page, and that he would have to contact police and the FBI," CBC News continued.

The only problem was that he didn't use the eBay payment system, so the bidding website could not provide protection for his transaction. "They don't want to share this intelligence. I don't think it will be in the best interest of eBay to say that X number of Canadian consumers have been the victim of a fraud," RCMP Cpl. Louis Robertson told CBC News.

This is not the first time when an eBay fraud caused such important loses for the registered members, so it's easy to understand that the bidding service must do something in order to stop this phenomenon from happening. Meanwhile, users' reactions have been quite as expected: "If you ask me, I would never, ever trust that logo anymore," said Duraj about eBay, according to the same source.
