以下是我寄给哈帕的信。请大家也一起发信。他(或他的办公室PR)未必会改变任何东西,但起码让他们知道我们的声音。只有选票是最好的武器。下次大选大家记得了。

Dear Prime Minister,
Your recent speech at the parliament regarding the Tibet riot is not appropriate. Yes, China does need to work on its human right and open more to the media. However, for this particular incident (riot in Tibet of China), your statement and accusation of China is inappropriate and groundless. The handling of this incident by the Chinese government is lawful and proper.
The rioters were killing innocent peoples in Tibet of China randomly. What human rights we are talking about here? For the innocent victims or for the killers? These rioters are criminals and murderers. This type of violence and criminal act (beating/robbing/burning/killing) are not allowed or tolerated in any countries. Their evil act is against the basic principle of man-kind, regardless of where and when it happened. If they do this in this country, they are criminals/terrorists. If they do this in China or anywhere else in the world, they are still criminals/terrorists. They are not heroes or human right fighters. No double standard please!
As we all know, politic should never play any role in the Olympic. But obviously, this so-called "peaceful demonstration" was well planned to take place at this time to blackmail China. It's not difficult to figure this out for everyone who has a brain. Violence would not do any good to the Olympic nor to any people. It's also against the true spirit of the Olympic game. The 2008 Beijing Olympic belongs to all nations of the world, not just China. I agree that we all should fight and improve human right and make the world a better place to live for everybody. But again, politic has no place in the Olympic.
I got to know you during the election. And I truly trusted, and still do, that you are a faithful leader with an open mind and justice/honesty/fairness in heart.Your statement on the Tibet riot is not only hurting the people in China but also hurting all Chinese people around the world. Canada is playing a very important role in today's world and has a great reputation in many ways. Please revisit the issue/statement and restate your stand on this issue openly.
Sincerely,
Jack J.
P.S.
Sovereignty and Tibet history are not a topic in this letter. The following link is just FYI: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWGGjpJJCKE&eurl=http://bbs.comefromchina.com/forum5/thread555437.html
As a proud Chinese Canadian, I sincerely wish our country, Canada, be forever united. And the same is to all countries in the world including China. God bless Canada. God bless China and the world!
