Child Killed in Evening Fire

A four-alarm blaze in Carlington has left a child dead.
The fire broke out in the centre unit of a townhouse complex on Caldwell Avenue around 7:30 last night.
The child was found dead in the home.
Chief of Special Operations for the Ottawa Fire Service Kim Ayotte told reporters Ottawa Police and the Ontario Fire Marshal will search for the cause of the fire.
No one else was injured.
Ottawa Police won't release the age or gender of the victim.
Adjacent units suffered smoke and water damage.
