suggestion needed

I am selling my house via an agent, but he have not done a good job. I decide to rent out my house rather than to sell it. How can I end up the agreement between the agent and me? If some one want to buy my house later on, is there any trouble related with the agent? Please please give me suggestion. Thanks.

Check your file: you should have a signed agreement with him/her. In the agreement, it should specify the period of agreement. If the agreement has expired, you can do whatever you like. If not, you'd better not to hire another agent to sell your house. If you decide not to sell it and want to rent it, I think you can do it without having any trouble.

一定要看清你的条款。大多数有一个PERIOD的条款（2~4个月），再加上4个月的延长期。

Tell your agent that you don't want to hire him/her anymore to sell your house because you are not satisfatory with his/her work. You are the boss and he/she is your employee. You should terminate contract with him/her before selling your house to your friend.

I think some agents ask for 6 months. If you signed an agreement, you can not sell your house to anyone without paying commission to the agent. Be very careful.

还是看清楚你和代理的合同， 你是否可以提出终止而没有其他约束。 通常代理合同都很保护他们的。
