Yesterday I found the small cups on the range hood full of water. They are suppose to gather oil from cooking. I guess the exterior fan duct is leaking, since it rained the past couple of days. Anyone had the similar issue before?

your hood front should be higher than back. That let oil or water go to back oil holder.

If your range hood is the so call "Auto Clean" model, there's chance water is leaking from the motor or the plastic hose.

Thanks for the answers

I don't think mine is auto clean. The water only cames in when it is raining. Sometime I can hear the noise made by the wind blowing the exterior register, like last night. I guess the wind blow the rigister open and the rain comes in. So do you guys have solution for this kind of problem?

If your outside register has a open/close flipper, check to see it works properly and not stay open all the time. Because Asian use wok stir-fired a lot and grease accumulated at the small hinges and stopped it from function properly. If not, replace it with one has a small spring to ensure it close when not in use! Good luck!
