The previous owner ask for $4500, then I find some small problems. Then we all agreed to make a deal for $4000 with safety certificate. He drove me to the whatever office to transfer the ownership and paid whatever tax etc. I just gave him $4000 and got the car

1.if I buy a car from private not from dealer,
do I need pay tax? if so,8%?

if no, how much tax I need to pay dealer,15%?

另外，如果你跟私人很熟悉，你们可以将表明价格搞低点，这样私下补足给他正常价格的钱，去交通部办LISCENCE的时候，你少交点税。

详细点的解释

1) 如果从私人处买，成交价格的7%上税，每种车，按年代不同，都有个政府指导价格，如果你的成交价格低于这个指导假，就按指导价的7%上税。例如，你的车是1923的奔驰 成交价是500，政府指导价是1000，那你就上1000*7%，如果政府指导加是100，你就上500*7%

2)DEALER处买车，横竖15%
